744 Experience can be taken exclusively. The flight deck, the Upper Deck cabin and the Hangar, for a morning, a day or an evening, for whatever you have in mind.
It works because it is not a venue with a theme. It is two genuine retired British Airways aircraft, and putting a group of people inside them produces a reaction that a hotel function room does not. Every booking is arranged individually, so tell us what you are planning and we will build it around you.
Corporate Events and Team Building
Away days, client entertaining, team building and Crew Resource Management exercises, with the site taken exclusively for your group.
Guests rotate through the flight deck while the rest of the party is in the original Upper Deck Business Class cabin, so nobody is standing around waiting their turn. It puts people in an unfamiliar situation together, which is what most team days are trying to achieve and what most venues cannot actually deliver.
Dining can be added, served in the cabin.
Private Events, Celebrations and Reunions
Milestone birthdays, anniversaries, aviation club visits and group bookings for people who have wanted to do this for years.
Reunions are worth a mention of their own. G-CIVM and G-BYGG both flew for British Airways for over twenty years, and for anyone who worked on the fleet, standing on the same flight deck again with the people they flew with is a different proposition to a meal out.
Professional Pilot Training
Flight deck time is available to professional pilots for procedures training, re-familiarisation and preparation for upcoming airline assessments.
Because G-CIVM is a genuine 747-436 flight deck operating as a procedures trainer, every switch and instrument responds as it did in service. That suits working through normal and abnormal procedures, system failures and full emergency scenarios at your own pace rather than against a syllabus clock.
Filming and Location Hire
The flight deck and Upper Deck cabin are available for filming, photography and location shoots. Both came off genuine British Airways aircraft rather than being built as sets, which shows on camera.
